The comfort of an adaptive suspension control with the performance of a KW coilover suspension is combined with the electronically adjustable KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension from the KW Street Comfort product line. It is also available for the new VW Golf 8, GTI, GTI Clubsport and R is compatible with the VW DCC suspension control.
The KW shock absorbers and KW dampers are connected via the plugs. The entire control of the adaptive KW DDC valves runs via the VW on-board electronics. Depending on the driving mode, the GTI drives more sporty or more comfortable. The dampers also adapt autonomously to the driving situations. and the “Nürburgring mode” on the GTI Clubsport and Golf R is retained. The KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension allows stepless lowering of 35 to 60 millimeters on the Golf 8, 20 to 45 millimeters on the GTI models and 25 to 45 millimeters on the Golf R.
KW Variant 1, Variant 2, Variant 3 and Clubsport coilover suspension kits with manual adjustment
The same approved stepless lowering is also offered by KW Variant 1, Variant 2, and Variant 3 coilovers from the KW Street Performance product group. The two KW Clubsport coilovers from the KW Track Performance group also allow maximum lowering. The difference between the five coilovers is in the details because as with all height-adjustable sport suspensions from KW for the VW Golf 8, GTI, GTI Clubsport and R, the suspension struts are made of stainless steel.
While the KW Variant 1 dampers manufactured at KW do not have adjustable compression and rebound valves, the KW Variant 2 dampers are equipped with two-stage rebound valves, and the KW Variant 3 dampers include two-stage compression and rebound valves.
A KW coilover suspension from the KW Street Performance group has been developed in its design – as firm as necessary, as comfortable as possible – for sporty everyday driving with street tires. With the KW Clubsport, the focus is on the use of semislicks as well as the one or other excursion over the curbs. With the Clubsport 3-way, the separately adjustable high-speed and low-speed compression damping can also be fine-tuned.
This allows the KW Variant 2 and KW Variant 3 dampers, with their 16 clicks of rebound and 12 clicks of compression adjustment, to be fine-tuned directly by hand in a more sporty and comfortable way.
All four KW coilovers available for the VW Golf 8, GTI, GTI Clubsport (CD) and R make the roadholding on the freeway, country road and also on side roads much sportier. The four KW coilovers Variant 1, Variant 2, Variant 3 and KW DDC plug&play are available immediately.
