The perfect suspension setup with just the push of a button: KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension for Audi RS3 (GY)
For several SUV and Audi models such as the Audi Q3 (F3), Audi RSQ3 (F3), and Audi S3 (GY), the adaptive KW DDC plug & play coilovers from the KW Street Performance product group are already available. The KW DDC plug & play coilovers, which are electronically adjustable in their damper characteristics, are also compatible with the electronics of the Audi RS3 sedan and the Audi RS3 Sportback of the GY series.
When upgrading to a KW DDC plug&play coilover suspension in the Audi RS3 (GY), the Audi DCC suspension plugs only need to be connected to the compatible socket of the adaptive KW DDC dampers. The Audi RS3 standard onboard electronics then recognizes the adaptive KW coilover suspension right away. Audi switched to the DCC suspension technology.
Depending on the chosen Audi dynamics program via the Audi-drive-select-menu, the suspension setting is firmer or more comfort-oriented. According to the dialed setup, the Audi RS3 drives sporty-harmonious or comfortable even with a maximum lowering of 40 millimeters at the front axle and 45 millimeters at the rear axle.
KW V3 coilover suspension kit and KW height adjustable springs are also developed for Audi RS3 (GY)
The KW V3 coilover suspension is available in two versions (without and with the KW ESC module) for the Audi RS3 (GY) models without adaptive DDC factory suspension and cars with adaptive DCC factory suspension. You need to connect a KW Cancellation Kit to each DCC connector during the installation of a nonadaptive coilover like the KW V3 coilover suspension kit.
The KW V3 coilover suspension, also known as KW Variant 3, is KW’s best-selling coilovers. We recommend the KW V3 to all drivers of an Audi RS3 (GY) whose Audi aren’t factory equipped with the optional Audi DCC suspension control. Like the KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension, and the manually adjustable KW V3 coilover suspension (compression and rebound), enables stepless lowering of 20 to 40 millimeters at the front axle and 25 to 45 millimeters at the rear axle.
For all of you who only want to lower their Audi RS3 (GY) minimally and aren’t interested in a significant improvement in driving dynamics and ride comfort, the conversion to continuously height-adjustable coil springs is a convenient choice. In this case, the KW springs, KW dust covers, and KW elastomer spring elements replace the original suspension springs.
As seen on this driving shot of the Audi RS3 sedan with the black wheels, a lowering with springs doesn’t achieve the same lowering as our KW DDC plug&play coilover suspension or the KW V3 coilover suspension. In the Audi RS3 Sportback and the Audi RS3 sedan, you can achieve a lowering of 0 to 20 millimeters with the KW height-adjustable spring set.
